About Net Button Online
We publish practical, plain-language writing about growing flowers and keeping a garden in good order through every season.
Who we are
Net Button Online (netbuttononline.com) is a publishing website operated by Net Button Online LLC, based at 601 Lexington Ave, Suite 2000, New York, NY 10022, USA. We write about growing flowers — in borders, in raised beds, in window boxes and in pots on a fire escape — for readers who want a straight answer rather than a lecture.
What we cover
Our subject is the ordinary craft of a flowering garden: reading a site for sun, shelter and drainage; improving soil with compost; choosing between annuals, perennials and bulbs and layering them so something is always in flower; sowing, hardening off and planting at sensible depth and spacing; watering, deadheading, feeding and mulching; and dealing with the usual pests and diseases as gently as possible.
How we write
Every guide is written in-house in plain English and organised so you can skim it or read it end to end. We describe widely shared horticultural practice, we say when something depends on your climate or your soil, and we prefer a clear rule of thumb over a vague reassurance. Where a job has a season attached to it, we give the sequence rather than a fixed date, because a calendar that suits one region rarely suits another.
What we do not do
We do not sell plants, seeds, tools or garden products, and we do not run a nursery or a shop. We do not publish guaranteed outcomes, invented statistics or testimonials we cannot verify, and we do not recommend specific pesticides, fungicides or other treatments. Gardening is variable by nature and we would rather set an honest expectation than an impressive one.
